Fall Salmon Counts

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has several adult fish counting facilites along the Klamath River. Every fall, the CDFW installs video equipment to accurately count returning spawners to our streams.

This data is preliminary: The Shasta River station was operational on September 1, 2021 and 6,659 adult Chinook Salmon have been observed through October 18, 2021. The Bogus Creek station was operational on September 8,
2021 and 1,306 adult Chinook Salmon have been observed through October 18, 2021. The
Scott River station was operational on September 17, 2021 and 23 adult Chinook Salmon have
been observed through October 18, 2021.
