On Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 2:00-6:00 pm, the Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) of Siskiyou County in association with Shasta Valley Resource Conservation District (SVRCD) is hosting a public workshop regarding groundwater and the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act in Siskiyou County groundwater basins. Topics will include: a review of what SGMA is; the role of Department of Water Resources (DWR); Siskiyou County’s roles and responsibilities; current status of SGMA implementation; and on-going matters related to groundwater and SGMA both locally and statewide.

Presenters will include Siskiyou County staff, the County’s consulting team from Larry Walker Associates and UC Davis, the DWR and more.

These presenters will bring a high level of local and statewide knowledge and experience with groundwater science and SGMA implementation, so this provides an excellent opportunity for community members to ask our presenters questions and learn about the nuances of SGMA.

If you have any questions regarding the meeting or need specific accommodations to attend the meeting, please contact Brandy Caporaso at SVRCD by calling 530.572.3120 or emailing bcaporaso@svrcd.org.
