Fall Flows – 2017

by perry on August 4, 2017

The Shasta River Water Transaction Program will be working with the  agricultural community and partners again this year to secure  additional flows to support the migration of adult Fall Chinook salmon  into the Shasta River. Although Chinook numbers are expected to be  low, the intention of securing additional flows is to ensure that the  best water is available for these returning spawners.  Chinook adults returning to the Shasta River are expected to number  only around 1000 fish, that is roughly 1/6th of the 40 yr average. For more information contact Ally at the SVRCD at 572-3120.
